Pause or cancel your plan

Stop billing for a while or for good, what you keep until the period ends, and how to change your mind.

You can cancel from the Plan page at any time, and on monthly plans you can pause billing instead. Your cards and content stay saved either way.

Use this guide when

You want to stop paying, take a break, or come back after cancelling.

Before you start

  • Only the account owner can pause or cancel. Switch to your Personal workspace first.

Steps

  1. Open Settings, then Plan and billing, then Plan.
  2. In the Billing panel, titled Payment and invoices, choose Cancel subscription. A box titled Before you go opens.
  3. Answer Why are you cancelling? and choose Continue.
  4. If you chose I am just taking a break or I am not using it enough and your plan is a paid monthly plan, you see Just need a break?. Pick a Pause length of 30, 60 or 90 days, choose Review pause, then Confirm pause.
  5. To cancel instead, choose Continue to cancellation, read the page titled Cancel at the end of this billing period, then choose Confirm cancellation. To stay, choose Keep my plan.
Payment and invoices panel on the Plan page with Manage payment method highlighted beside the Billing history link.
Manage payment method opens the page where you change your card and billing details.

Cancelling keeps your paid features until the end of the period you already paid for, with no grace hours after that. Then your account moves to Free, or back to the plan page if you must choose a plan.

Pause

Pause is for paid monthly plans, including earlier monthly plans. It is not offered on yearly plans, during a free trial or on a plan that is already ending. A yearly plan can cancel and keep its features until the paid year ends.

Your paid features continue until the end of the current billing period. After that, during the pause, paid features stop and your cards and content stay saved. New accounts stay on Plan and billing, where you can resume or cancel, and accounts that are eligible for Free use Free. Billing is scheduled to resume on the date the review page shows. Paid features return after that payment is confirmed.

  • Status: The Plan page shows Pause scheduled and then Paused.
  • Resume early: Choose Resume my subscription while the pause is still running.
  • Price: A plan with a locked price resumes at that same price.
  • Emails: We email you when the pause is set, when it ends and when your plan is active again.

Cancel

After you confirm, the Plan page shows the date your paid features end, and we email you Your Zapped plan ends on that date. Until then you can choose Keep my subscription, and the scheduled cancellation is removed.

After the end date your previous plan cannot be restarted. You choose one of the plans on offer at its current price. If you are on an earlier plan that is no longer offered, the cancel box warns you before you confirm that you cannot restart it at your old price later.

Cancelling during a free trial costs nothing. You keep your plan until the trial ends and you are not charged.

What happens to your cards and domain

Your cards and content stay saved. If you use a custom domain, we email you the date it stops serving your card. After that date the card stays available on its regular Zapped address.

Money back

Cancelling stops future charges. Asking for money back is a separate request. If you are inside your 30 day window, the Before you go box shows the date and a link to ask. The guide on money back explains the rules.

Good ways to use this

  • Export the leads you need before your paid features end, because a plan with a shorter history keeps fewer months.
  • Pause instead of cancelling if you expect to come back, so you keep your price.
  • Tell your team before you cancel, because they work in your workspace.

Common questions

Does cancelling my plan cancel my setup order?

No. Your setup order carries on. It has its own refund rule.

Can I pause a yearly plan?

No. Pause is only for monthly plans. A yearly plan can cancel and keep its features until the year you paid for ends.

Will I lose my cards?

No. Cards and content stay saved. Only your paid features end.

If something looks wrong

  • If you do not see Cancel subscription, switch to your Personal workspace and sign in as the owner. If the link reads Get help cancelling this subscription, choose it and we will cancel it with you.
  • If Pause is missing, your plan is yearly, in a free trial or already ending, or has a payment problem. Cancel at the end of the period instead.
  • If you cancelled by mistake, open the Plan page before the end date and choose Keep my subscription.
