Program an NFC business card

Write a public Zapped card link to an NFC card and test it with another phone.

An NFC business card can open your public vCard when someone taps it with a compatible phone.

Before you start

  • Create and test the public card link first.
  • Use an NFC writing app that supports writing a web link.

Write the public card link

  1. Open the card from Cards and copy its public URL.
  2. Open your NFC writing app and choose the option to write a URL or web link.
  3. Paste the public Zapped card URL.
  4. Hold the NFC card near your phone until the app confirms the write.
  5. Test the card with another compatible phone.

Use the public card URL, never an editor or dashboard address.

Good ways to use this

  • Write the public card URL, not the editor URL or Dashboard URL.
  • Test the NFC card with a different phone after programming it.
  • Keep a QR code fallback on printed materials for phones that do not read NFC reliably.

Common questions

Can I update the card after programming NFC?

Yes. If the NFC card points to the same public URL, content changes in Zapped appear when that URL opens.

Can one NFC card open multiple profiles?

An NFC card opens one saved destination at a time. Reprogram it if you need it to open a different card.

If something looks wrong

  • If the tap does not work, confirm NFC is enabled on the phone and test with a known working NFC reader app.
  • If the wrong profile opens, rewrite the NFC card with the correct public card URL.
