An API key identifies your account to an integration. Treat it with the same care as a password.

Open and protect the API key

Open API.
Confirm you are signed in as the account owner.
Copy the key only into a trusted integration or secure secret manager.
Rotate the key if it may have been exposed, then update the affected integration.

Good ways to use this

Store API keys in a secure secret manager, not in chat messages, tickets, screenshots, or documents.
Rotate the key immediately if you believe it was exposed.
Give integrations the minimum access they need and review them regularly.

Common questions

Can team members see the owner API key?

No. Shared workspace membership does not expose the account owner API key.

What happens when I rotate the key?

Existing integrations that use the old key can stop working until you update them with the new key.

If something looks wrong

If an integration fails after rotation, update the stored key in that integration and retry.
If the API page is unavailable, confirm you are signed in as the account owner.
