Create a project

Create a clearly named project to organize related cards inside the active workspace.

A project is a simple way to group work by client, campaign, brand, or internal purpose.

Create the project

  1. Open Projects.
  2. Confirm you are in the workspace where the project belongs.
  3. Choose Create Project.
  4. Enter a recognizable name and choose a color if it helps people scan the list.
  5. Save the project, then assign or create cards for it.
Fictional Zapped Create Project form with a project name and color choice.
Use a clear name so the project is easy to recognize in lists and access settings.

Good ways to use this

  • Create projects around real operating groups, not temporary labels that will be forgotten.
  • Use consistent naming across clients, campaigns, or locations.
  • Assign cards to the project soon after creating it so the project does not become an empty placeholder.

Common questions

When should I create a project?

Create one when a group of cards needs shared organization, reporting context, or a permission boundary.

Can I use projects for teams?

Projects can help organize team resources, but Teams controls membership, roles, and access scope.

If something looks wrong

  • If Create Project is unavailable, check your workspace role and plan limits.
  • If cards are not appearing in the project, confirm each card is assigned to that project.
