Money back and refunds

The 30 day money back on your plan, the refund rule for setup, and exactly how to ask.

Every plan comes with 30 day money back. A setup service has its own rule: it is refundable for 30 days, or until we start building.

Use this guide when

You want to know whether you can get a refund, or you are ready to ask for one.

Before you start

  • Only the account owner can ask. Switch to your Personal workspace first.

Steps

  1. Open Settings, then Plan and billing, then Plan, and choose Cancel subscription.
  2. Pick a reason and choose Continue. The box shows the window that applies to you. It says You paid on the date, so you are inside your 30 day money back window, or Your yearly plan renewed on the date, with 14 days from that charge to ask for a full refund of the renewal.
  3. Choose Ask for a full refund of your plan. It opens a message to our team with the subject Plan refund. Send it. The link only opens the message. It does not cancel anything.
  4. For a setup, open Settings, Plan and billing, Setup orders, open the order and choose Ask for a refund. Then choose Send refund request.
Payment and invoices panel on the Plan page with Manage payment method highlighted beside the Billing history link.
Manage payment method opens the page where you change your card and billing details.

We reply by email. A refund goes back to the card you paid with, and your bank decides how long it takes to show on your statement.

Your plan: 30 days

Ask within 30 days of your first payment and we refund your plan. One rule covers every plan, earlier plans included. It is not restarted when you change plans. After a free trial, the 30 days start on the first charge, not on the day the trial began.

A yearly plan that renews also has a 14 day window of its own. The Plan page says Your yearly plan renewed on the date, and that you can ask for a full refund of that renewal within 14 days of the charge.

In most cases a full refund of the plan also ends the plan, and we email you to say so. A setup refund does not cancel your plan.

Setup: 30 days, or until we start building

Setup is refundable for 30 days, or until we start building. Sending your details does not close the window. It closes when we press Start building, which we usually do within one business day once your order is ready to build, and we email you when it happens. A setup added during a trial switch to yearly waits for the first yearly payment. You can edit your details until then.

After 30 days without details the refund window closes, but you can still send your details and we build your setup. The order page shows Ask for a refund only while the window is open, and tells you the date it ends.

Setup bought with a yearly plan is half price. If you paid full price and later move to yearly, the difference is not refunded, so decide early.

Closing your account

Deleting your account does not refund your plan. Ask for any refund first.

Good ways to use this

  • Ask on the first days if the plan is not right, while the window is clearly open.
  • Send your setup details only when you are ready, because building starts after we receive them.
  • Use the Setup orders page to see the date your setup refund window ends.

Common questions

Do I get money back if I only cancel?

No. Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps your features to the end of the period. Money back is a separate request inside the window.

Who decides?

Our team reviews every request and refunds inside the window. You get an email when it is done.

Can I get the setup difference back if I switch to yearly later?

No. Setup is half price only when bought with a yearly plan, or in the first 30 days of yearly billing.

If something looks wrong

  • If Ask for a full refund of your plan is not in the Before you go box, you are past your window, or your plan has no first payment yet. Write to us from the Help widget and we will look.
  • If Ask for a refund is missing on a setup order, the window has closed, we already started building, a refund is on its way, or you already asked. The order page says which.
  • If you asked and heard nothing, check spam, then reply to our message or send it again from the order page.
